In addition, he pointed out the imperious need of &#8220;incorporating standards of sustainability in all areas\u201d, a feasible possibility due to the fact this is a \u201chistorical moment, which brings the opportunity, especially for younger people and all those of us who have responsibilities, to raise a new flag, a flag of sustainable development&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>In conversation with Pablo Lorenzetti, coordinator and professor of Environmental Law of the UBA, and before the virtual assistance of 500 viewers in the account of @expoterra, the Justice of the Court and member of the Global Judicial Institute on the Environment also remarked that &#8220;The best solution cannot be found in international organizations and treaties, where there have been several setbacks\u201d, but in the involvement of the entire society, which becomes necessary. &#8220;These are times for citizen participation and for people to demand a change on a global scale\u201d, he affirmed.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding Argentina in particular, Lorenzetti claimed that our country has an enormous economic and social opportunity through the promotion of &#8220;a sustainable economy based on organic food, non-polluting tourism and renewable energy\u201d, for which it will be important to have the support of credit agencies.<\/p>\n<p>All in all, he assured that \u201cnature has become scarce, becoming a weak subject, leading us to rethink the system and the need of regulating it completely, leaving our human interests aside&#8221;.
